Child Care Services at EHLC Concluding 16 Dec 2021

It is with regret that we have to inform you that our Child Care offering and service at Endeavour Hills Leisure Centre will be concluding as of 16 December 2021.
The impacts of the Covid pandemic closures in Victoria have greatly affected Child Care uptake at the Centre and there has been a significant reduction in patrons utilising the service. With numbers remaining exceptionally low the program is no longer viable for us to continue into 2022.
At this time we wish to thank our amazing Child Care educators, Hilary Davies, Gayle Kelly (both whom have been at the Centre for over 30 years) and Priscilla Mitchell who joined the team 9 years ago. They are exceptional and have made a big difference in the lives of the children in the program. We are very proud and grateful for all 3 of you. Thank you all for many passionate, dedicated (and fun filled) years.
To our community! We also want to thank you for your years of patronage of the EHLC Child Care service. Many local families in the community have accessed these service (including 3 year old kinder) and we appreciate your support of the program over our years. Several children who attended EHLC Child Care have gone on to work for the YMCA and have now brought their own children to Child Care at the Centre. A testament to a wonderful program, a close community and a second to none staff team.
The last day for the families will be Thursday 16th December (9-12pm).
We encourage members past and present who have utilised the Child Care service to drop in over the next few days and say ‘Goodbye’ to the team. Our Child Care team will be sadly missed and again we thank them for everything they have contributed to EHLC and the wider community
