Casey RACE Flooring Project

If you have been to the centre over the past few weeks you will be aware of the flooring project that is happening. We are working with a contractor to replace all of the flooring around the centre.

This project is expected to take about 16 – 18 weeks to complete and we are about seven weeks into it already. The Spa, Sauna and Steam Room area, as well as the flooring behind the main pool and around the warm water pool are all done as we continue working our way through the centre.

The flooring project is being done to improve the flooring in the centre so that it is non-slip and allow us to remove the mats that currently cover the flooring area at present. For some users they are a health and safety hazard, especially where the mats join and people trip.

The project has meant the closure of areas of the centre and the cancellation of classes and programs. As the project progresses to the shallow end of the main pool and Program and Leisure pool, there will be additional disruption. We are working to minimise the impact this will have on members and programs such as the Learn to Swim and will communicate any disruptions using our Facebook page and website as well as screen signage throughout the centre.

We appreciate the patience and understanding our members and patrons have shown as we work towards delivering a better, safer facility to everyone.
